General Job Objective:
The Software Developer is a technical position reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The position will work with multiple technologies, primarily designing, developing and implementing PDA applications. These responsibilities require the developer be proficient in all Cogon Systems' products and technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Day to day responsibilities include writing functional specs, development, writing and debugging code.
- Work with the team to develop the client software including addition of new features, communication protocols, etc.
- Will work with team on development of new products as well as maintenance and enhancement of existing products and working on next-generation products.
- Assist in the data validation process as necessary.
- Participate in technical meetings and reviews as necessary.
- Work with Project Manager in defining customer requirements.
- Ensure internal processes are adhered to and documented.
- Direct communications with clients is required, so excellent communication skills are required.
Job Requirements/Skills:
- C# and VB .NET, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, AJAX.
- Database structuring, SQL Server
- Experience deploying software in a .NET web services environment.
