Position Title: Data Integration Specialist
Location: Pensacola, FL

Education: B.S. Computer Science or related degree preferred
Experience Required: 3-5 years of data integration
General Job Objective:
The Data Integration Specialist is a technical position reporting to the Director of Engineering. The position will require analysis and integration of data from disparate clinical systems to be utilized with Cogon System’s software products. The Data Integration Specialist will also be responsible for data validation and testing.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform all data integration related activities for participating healthcare systems
Work closely with customers to understand their requirements
Perform detailed analysis of incoming interfaces from healthcare systems
Provide HL7 practical application and data use consulting to the software design and development teams
Provide design assistance in persisting HL7 data in clinical data repositories
Perform data validation
Perform configuration and testing activities
Ensure internal processes are documented and followed
Job Skills:
Working knowledge of relational database structures, SQL queries, and XML data
Experience creating XML data structures from multiple data sources
Strong knowledge of HL7 data formats
Prior experience integrating HL7 data in a production environment
CCR and CCD data format experience preferred
Neotool or Mirth experience preferred
Java experience desired but not required
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people
